Setting up a baby shower roll

papershot is a baby shower photo sharing app with a guest book that talks: one private roll for the party, a camera on every guest's phone, and a memo from each guest for the parents-to-be. It develops when the party ends.

  1. 01

    Make the moment

Name it, set the start and the end, and pick a film look. Original lets guests choose.

  2. 02

    Pick the size

Free for up to 4 guests. For the whole party, pick a size from 8 guests up.

  3. 03

Put the card on the table

Guests scan it, get the app if they need it, type a name, and shoot.

  4. 04

    Ask the question

Turn memos on and write one question for every guest to answer.

Memos

Memo questions for the guest book

One question, answered by every guest. Download them and play them back one day.

  • “Leave a hello for the baby.”
  • “What's your best advice for the first year?”
  • “What do you hope they get from each parent?”
  • “Tell the baby how you know their family.”
  • “What should they know about the world?”
  • “Leave a wish for the parents-to-be.”

A guest book that talks

A written guest book gets a line from each guest. A memo gets their voice: up to a minute each, answering your question, played back with their face. Download the memos as files and they are yours to keep.

Photos without a photographer

Most baby showers have no photographer, and the host is too busy to take photos. A shared roll lets every guest cover a corner of the room, so the afternoon arrives whole, at full resolution.

What is on the roll

More than photos.

Every moment collects three kinds of media, and the tools to do something with them.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do guests need an account?

Can grandparents use it?

Yes. Scanning the card, typing a name, and tapping the shutter is all it takes.

How long can a memo be?

Between 5 and 60 seconds. You set the limit.

How many photos can each guest take?

5, 10, 16, 24, or 36, as you choose, plus one video and one memo.

Can we keep the memos?

Yes. Download them as files before the roll goes: 48 hours after it closes on a free moment, 30 days on a paid one.

Can people who could not come join?

Anyone with the link can join while the moment is open, if the size has room.

How much does it cost?

Free for up to 4 guests. A bigger size is one payment, no subscription.
